In meinen
gesamthaften 4 Monaten hier in Dubai war ich schon öfters an der Umm Suqeim
Beach. Sie ist sehr lang: ca. 8 km mit Sicht auf den Burj al Arab und den Burj
Khalifa. Der bekannteste Teil ist wohl der Kite Beach mit vielen Sportaktivitäten
sowie Essensmöglichkeiten. Es gibt auch einen Nachtstrand, der so hell
beleuchtet wird wie fast bei Tageslicht. Heute parkierte ich etwas nördlicher
als sonst und genoss erst mal das Meer und die Sonne ohne viele Leute…
In my total 4 months here in Dubai, I have been to Umm Suqeim Beach several times. It is very long: about 8 km with a view of the Burj al Arab and the Burj Khalifa. The most famous part is probably Kite Beach with many sports activities and food options. There is also a night beach, which is lit almost as brightly as it is with daylight. Today I parked a little further north than usual and first enjoyed the sea and the sun without a lot of people...

Gegen
Abend fuhr ich dann an den Kite Beach, wo viele Roulettes mit Essen aus der
ganzen Welt aufwarten. Heute entschied ich mich für La Baguette de L'Entrecote
(https://www.facebook.com/labaguettedelentrecote) mit anschliessendem Eis von Häagen
Dazs (https://www.facebook.com/events/kite-beach-dubai/h%C3%A4agen-dazs-pop-up-store-at-the-etisalat-beach-canteen/1478834328921841) gleich nebenan. : )
Towards the evening, I drove to Kite Beach, where there are many roulettes with food from all over the world. Today I decided to have dinner at La Baguette de L'Entrecote (https://www.facebook.com/labaguettedelentrecote) followed by ice cream from Häagen Dazs (https://www.facebook.com/events/kite-beach-dubai/h %C3%A4agen-dazs-pop-up-store-at-the-etisalat-beach-canteen/1478834328921841) right next door. : )

Es ist
schwierig die Tage zu geniessen mit einer solchen Belastung, die mir seit 2
Monaten das Leben erschwert… Meine Bank hat zwar den Erhalt der eingeforderten
Dokumente innert Frist bestätigt, aber es bereitet mir echt Kopfschmerzen eine neue
Bank zu finden! Ich habe die ganze Woche mit fast nichts anderem verbracht…
hatte e-mail und telefonische Kontakte aber nichts als Absagen: ohne Wohnsitz
kein Bankkonto! : (
Sich bei
diesem Stress ans Positive zu klammern ist sehr ermüdend und ist alles als
einfach… Trotzdem versuchte ich mich meinen Ritualen zu widmen, um etwas Kraft
und Energie aus meinen Mediationen, Yoga und Arabisch mit Duolingo zu gewinnen.
Was am meisten nutzte, war eine Kulissenänderung: raus! Beim barfuss Joggen am
Strand und Schwimmen im warmen Meer vergass ich meine Sorgen für einen Moment…

It's difficult to enjoy the days with such a burden I am carrying the
last 2 months... My bank had confirmed receipt of the requested documents
within the deadline in the meantime, but it's a real headache to find a new
bank! I spent the whole week with it... had e-mail and telephone contacts but got
nothing but rejections: no residence - no bank account! : (
Holding on to the positive in this stress is very tiring and anything but
easy... Nevertheless, I tried to dedicate myself to my rituals to gain some
strength and energy from my meditations, yoga and Arabic with Duolingo. What
benefited the most was a change of scenery: being outside! While going for a
run barefoot on the beach and swimming in the warm sea, I forgot my worries for
a moment...
