Manchmal frag ich mich, wie ich die schönen Orte
und Unterkünfte finde… meist ist es Intuition und Schicksal. Eigentlich suchte
ich einen schönen Ort in Muskat, wo ich 5 Tage entspannen konnte, bevor ich
nach Sohar fahren würde um den Bus nach Dubai zu nehmen. Das Meersichtzimmer in
der Lana Villa in Muskat war aber erst ab Montag frei… deshalb suchte ich etwas
zwischen Ras al Hadd und Muskat und stiess so auf den Kontakt von Sami. Im
Internet war es aber eine andere Unterkunft – oder war es nur ein anderer Name?
– egal, ich bin in der Villa Wadi Shab (Sami +96871752432) gelandet und fühlte mich sehr
wohl hier! Vor allem genoss ich den Blick aufs Meer und den kleinen superfeinen Privatstrand! : )
Sometimes I wonder how I find the beautiful places and accommodations... mostly it's intuition and fate. I was actually looking for a nice place in Muscat, where I could relax for 5 days before heading to Sohar to catch the bus to Dubai. The sea view room in the Lana Villa in Muscat was only available from Monday... so I was looking for something between Ras al Hadd and Muscat and came across Sami's contact. But in the internet it was a different accommodation - or was it just a different name? - no matter, I ended up in Villa Wadi Shab (Sami +96871752432) and felt very comfortable here! Above all, I enjoyed the sea view and the small, super-beautiful private beach! : )

Die Villa Wadi Shab liegt ideal zum
Erkunden der Umgebung. Tiwi hat je einen Strand an beiden Enden des kleinen
Dorfes und liegt am Fuss des Wadi Shab und Wadi Tiwi. Gestern hatte ich die
fantastische Wanderung ins Wadi Shab mit Hussein gemacht und heute wollte er mir
das Wadi Tiwi zeigen. Die Strasse hoch ins Tal war zwar geteert aber sehr steil
und eng… und Hussein hatte sich anerboten mich dorthin zu fahren. Er war in
einer sehr miesen Laune und alles andere als gesprächig heute – vielleicht weil
ich ihn nochmals klar abwies? Ich hatte ihm gestern bereits gesagt, dass ich an
keiner körperlichen Beziehung interessiert bin, als er mich begrapschte… Als
wir oben im letzten Dorf im Tal angekommen waren, starteten wir die Wanderung
talabwärts. Nach kurzer Zeit schon hatte ich keine Lust mit so einem Schmollkopf
meine Zeit zu verbringen und sagte ihm, dass ich auf der Stelle zurück will. Es
hatte einige Autos auf dem kleinen Parkplatz, die runter ins Tal fahren würden,
also kein Problem für mich – und sonst wäre ich gewandert! Aber Hussein fuhr
mich brav zurück zur Villa Wadi Shab…
Villa Wadi Shab is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. Tiwi has a beach at each end of the small village and is located at the foot of Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi. Yesterday I did the fantastic hike to Wadi Shab with Hussein and today he wanted to show me Wadi Tiwi. The road up into the valley was paved but very steep and narrow... and Hussein offered to drive me there. He was in a very bad mood and anything but talkative today - maybe because I clearly rejected him once again? I had already told him yesterday that I wasn't interested in a physical relationship when he tried to touch and kiss me... When we got to the last village in the valley, we started the hike down the valley. After a short time I didn't feel like spending my time with such a pouty guy and told him that I wanted to go back immediately. There were a few cars in the small parking lot that would drive down to the valley, so no problem for me - and if not, I would have hiked! But Hussein dutifully drove me back to the Villa Wadi Shab…

Am Abend war ich dann doch zu müde um einen
Kilometer zu den Restaurants in Tiwi zu spazieren, so nahm ich das Auto. Bei
der Gelegenheit wollte ich es waschen lassen, aber die einzige Waschstation war
auf der Hinfahrt geschlossen… und auf der Rückfahrt hätte ich 1 Stunde warten
müssen, so viele Autos standen an! Dafür genoss ich ein gutes Abendessen im Al Rabia al Shamilah: ein Thunsteak
mit Pommes und Salat.

In the evening I was too tired to walk a kilometre to the restaurants in Tiwi, so
I took the car. I wanted to take the opportunity to have it washed, but the
only washing station was closed on my way there... and I would have
had to wait an hour on the way back because there were so many cars lining up! Instead, I enjoyed a good
dinner at Al Rabia al Shamilah: a tuna steak with fries and salad.
