Meinen letzten vollen Tag im Al Bahar Hotel & Resort (https://www.albaharhotelandresort.com) galt vor alles es zu geniessen: ein herzhaftes Frühstück und verdauen an der milden Sonne am Hotelstrand… Gegen Abend ging ich nochmals joggen, diesmal Richtung Süden zum Umbrella Beach – wieder mit vielen Fischern am Strand! Schwimmen ging ich in der geschützten Bucht des Hotelstrandes.

My last full day at the Al Bahar Hotel & Resort (https://www.albaharhotelandresort.com) was all about enjoying: a hearty breakfast and digesting in the mild sun on the hotel beach... Towards the evening I went once again for a run, this time direction south to Umbrella Beach - again I encountered lots of fishermen on the beach! For a swim I went in the sheltered bay of the hotel beach.

Im Einkaufszentrum City Center Fujairah kaufte ich bei Dar al Kashka (https://www.kashkha.com) eine neue Jalabiya – die sind sooo praktisch: Morgens steif ich mir eine übers Pyjama und bin angezogen fürs Frühstück! ; ) Dort traf ich auch Monalisa von Waves (https://www.facebook.com/wavesflipflops), die individuelle Flipflops in Minuten zusammenstellt – alles aus recyceltem Plastik! : ) Klar musste ich auch ein Paar haben! : )

At the City Center Fujairah shopping centre I bought a new jalabiya at Dar al Kashka (https://www.kashkha.com) - they are so practical: In the morning I put one over my pajamas and am dressed for breakfast! ; ) There I also met Monalisa from Waves (https://www.facebook.com/wavesflipflops), who puts together individually chosen flip flops in minutes - all made from recycled plastic! : ) Of course I had to have a pair too! : )

Am Abend besuchte ich mit Bakri im Zayed Sports Complex das Internationale Oud Forum. Die Oud kommt ursprünglich aus Persien und ist der Vorläufer der europäischen Laute – DAS arabische Instrument vergleichbar mit der Gitarre in der westlichen Welt. 3 Tage trugen Musiker aus der arabischen Welt im wunderschönen Sportkomplex ihr Können vor… und das mit atemberaubender Kulisse und gratis! Bakri und ich genossen am letzten Abend eine 2 ½ stündige Vorstellung von Musikern aus Irak, den Vereinten Arabischen Emiraten, Syrien, Sudan, Iran und Marokko – absolut genial! : ))

In the evening I visited the International Oud Forum with Bakri at the Zayed Sports Complex. The Oud originally comes from Persia and is the forerunner of the European lute - THE Arabic instrument comparable to the guitar in the Western world. For 3 days, musicians from the Arab world presented their skills in the beautiful sports complex... with a breathtaking backdrop and for free! On their last evening Bakri and I enjoyed a 2 ½ hour performance by musicians from Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Sudan, Iran and Morocco - absolutely brilliant! : ))
