Endlich
warm! Tagsüber zwar fast ein bisschen heiss mit 38 Grad, dafür ist es in der
Nacht angenehme 23 Grad! : ) Mein Körper sehnte sich nach Wärme und ich fühle
mich bedeutend wohler, wenn es warm ist als wenn ich friere… Trotzdem
verlagerten wir unsere Aktivitäten auf den Abend: Praveen arbeitete tagsüber
und das war sehr inspirierend für mich um meinen Reiseblog Irland zu beenden und
diesen über die Emirate so bald wie möglich zu beginnen…
Finally warm! It's almost a bit hot during the day with 38 centigrade, but at night it's pleasant 23! : ) My body was longing for warmth and I feel much more comfortable when it's warm than when I'm cold... Nevertheless, we shifted our activities to the evening: Praveen worked during the day and that was very inspiring for me to finish my travel blog Ireland and to start this one about the Emirates as soon as possible…

Ich
erkundete meine Umgebung und joggte mal um die Wohnsiedlung Discovery Gardens. 85%
der Einwohner Dubais sind Ausländer aus 200 Nationen – davon 1/3 Inder, und das
ist nicht zu übersehen hier in Discovery Gardens… man sieht eigentlich nur
indische Geschäfte und Restaurants in der Einkaufsstrasse Strasse 1.
I explored my surroundings and went for a run around the residential complex Discovery Gardens. 85% of Dubai's residents are foreigners from 200 nations - 1/3 of them Indian, and that cannot be overseen here in Discovery Gardens... you actually only see Indian shops and restaurants in the shopping street Street 1.

Am Montag
flogen Praveens Freunde Vinod und Shreyas zurück nach Indien. Wir trafen sie zu
einem letzten Abendmahl im Aden Restaurant (https://aden-restaurant.com), Gold Souk, und genossen ein
leckeres arabisches Essen. Danach fuhren wir sie zum Flughafen Dubai… auf dem
Rückweg bestaunten das Lichtermeer der Hochhäuser – atemberaubend!
On Monday, Praveen's friends Vinod and Shreyas flew back to India. We met them for a last supper at the Aden Restaurant (https://aden-restaurant.com), Gold Souk, and enjoyed a delicious Arabic meal. Thereafter we drove them to Dubai airport… on way back we marvelled at the sea of lights of the high-rise buildings - breathtaking!

Am
Dienstag Abend lud mich Praveen in eines ‘seiner’ vielen Restaurants ein, für
die er als IT Spezialist arbeitet: das Shake Shack (https://www.shakeshackme.com/ae/dubai/al-barsha-drive-thru) auf dem Weg zum Strand. Eine
Stunde später war es wirklich Nacht und wir erreichten den 14 km langen Strandabschnitt
Umm Suqeim Beach, ca. 20 km nördlich von Discovery Gardens. Hier gibt es einen Nacht
Strand, der nachts so beleuchtet wird, dass man fast bei Tageslicht in die
warmen Fluten steigen kann… was wir auch taten – einfach nur herrlich: Wasser
und Luft 32 Grad! : )

On Tuesday evening, Praveen invited me to one of 'his' many restaurants
for which he works as an IT specialist: the Shake Shack (https://www.shakeshackme.com/ae/dubai/al-barsha-drive-thru) on the way to the
beach. An hour later it was really night and we reached the 14 km long stretch
of Umm Suqeim Beach, about 20 km north of Discovery Gardens. There is a night
beach, which is illuminated at night so that you can get into the warm floods
almost in daylight... what we did - just wonderful: water and air 32 centigrade!
