Ich fühlte mich festgefahren und gefangen... nichts lief vorwärts! Die
Kommunikation mit meiner Bank gestaltete sich langwierig, denn alles musste
zuerst abklärt werden: Die Formulare verlangten nach einem Wohnsitz, den ich
nicht hatte... und für die Passbeglaubigung kontaktierte ich die Schweizer
Botschaft im Muskat und erhielt nach fast einer Woche Bescheid, dass sie zu
klein sind und die Botschaft in Riyadh dafür zuständig ist! - Ich hatte alles
in meiner Macht getan und war am Ende meiner Kräfte ... Immerhin hatte ich eine
Fristverlängerung von 2 Wochen für die Einreichung meiner Originaldokumente
erreicht! - Sehr wahrscheinlich stellte ich eine echte Herausforderung dar und
war sicher die Erste, die
meine Bank mit solch einer Situation
konfrontierte!?
I felt stuck and trapped... nothing was moving forward! The communication with my bank was taking too much time because everything had to be clarified first: The forms required a place of residence which I didn't have... and for having my passport notarized I contacted the Swiss embassy in Muscat, which informed me almost a week later, that they are too small and the embassy in Riyadh was responsible for it! - I had done everything in my power and was at the end of my rope... After all, I had managed to get a 2-week extension of the deadline for submitting my original documents! - Most likely I posed a real challenge and was certainly the first to confront my bank with such a situation!

Ich liess meinen Frust beim Joggen und einem langen Spaziergang am Strand
ab. Ich motivierte Mohamed des La Terrasse besser Englisch zu lernen und zeigte
ihm das Duolingo App. Und ich genehmigte mir einen Gin und Tonic im Ocean Blue
des Crowne Plaza...

I gave vent to my frustration by going for a run and
taking a long walk on the beach. I motivated Mohamed from La Terrasse to
improve his English and showed him the Duolingo app. And I had a gin and tonic
at the Ocean Blue of the Crowne Plaza...
