Am Mittwoch Morgen genoss ich das Masirah
Beach Camp (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Masirah-Beach-Camp/327514024363333) mit der milden Morgensonne und
etwas Wind... Nach dem Frühstück packte ich alles in meine Koffer und Taschen
und war kurz nach Mittag bereit für meine Weiterreise...
On Wednesday morning I enjoyed the Masirah Beach Camp (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Masirah-Beach-Camp/327514024363333) with the mild morning sun and some wind... After breakfast I packed everything in my suitcases and bags and was ready for my onward journey shortly after noon...

Ich erreichte den Hafen 1 Stunde vor Abfahrt der Fähre zum Festland nach
Shannah und war die Erste. Eigentlich musste man sich draussen aufreihen - aber
es war unerträglich heiss und die Auffahrt zur Fähre
offen, so dass ich es einfach tat! Die verdutzten
Angestellten baten mich draussen zu warten, aber drückten wegen der Hitze alle Augen zu und ich
parkierte mein Mietauto auf der Fähre im Schatten! : )
I reached the port 1 hour before the ferry took off to the mainland to Shannah and was the first. Actually I had to line up outside - but it was unbearably hot and the entrance to the ferry was open, so I just did it! The puzzled employees asked me to wait outside, but because of the heat they turned all their eyes blind and I parked my rental car on the ferry in the shade! : )

Um 14 Uhr verliess die National Ferries die Insel Masirah und eine
Stunde später erreichten wir Shannah. Von hier waren es fast 4 ziemlich
langweilige Stunden bis ins Knie von Oman: Ras al Hadd. Dort angekommen nach 300 km heute, wartete ich
eine halbe Stunde, bis ich Antwort erhielt und jemand kam und mich zu den
versteckten Comfort Apartments (Zaid +96898929955) zu führen: Ich war in der Dunkelheit und während
des Iftar = Brechens des Fastens angekommen… aber schon mal froh ein Bett in
diesem trostlosen Ort gefunden zu haben… und wunderte mich, wie es wohl morgen
früh aussehen würde?
At 2 pm the National Ferries left Masirah Island and an hour later we reached Shannah. From here it was almost 4 pretty boring hours to the knee of Oman: Ras al Hadd. Arrived there after 300 km today, I waited half an hour until I received an answer and someone came and led me to the hidden Comfort Apartments (Zaid +96898929955): I had arrived in the dark and while iftar = breaking the fast... but happy having found at least a bed in this desolate place... and wondering what it would look like tomorrow morning?

Ja, wo war ich nur gelandet? – Alleine in einem grossen Haus am Rande
des Ortes Ras al Hadd ganz nahe am Strand… Ich nahm mir Zeit in mich zu kehren
und herauszufinden, was ich wollte… ich sehnte mich nach Ruhe aber nicht
Abgeschiedenheit… und ich wollte weiterziehen… Ich organisierte meine
Weiterreise und ging barfuss im Bikini am langen Strand joggen, der von kleinen
pinken Muscheln übersät war…

Yes, where had I ended up? – Alone in a large house
on the edge of the town of Ras al Hadd, very close to the beach... I took time
to reflect and figure out what I wanted... I longed for peace but not
seclusion... and I wanted to move on... I organized the continuation of my journey and went for a run barefoot in my bikini on the long beach,
which was cluttered
with small pink shells…
