Die Fahrt war eher langweilig, vor allem nach dem spektakulären Küstenabschnitt gestern! Am Mittag sichtete ich eine Oase, das Wadi Dharif, wo ich einen Halt einlegte und mein verspätetes Frühstück einnahm. : )
The journey was rather boring, especially after the spectacular stretch of coast yesterday! At noon I spotted an oasis, the Wadi Dharif, where I stopped for my late breakfast. : )

Um 14 Uhr erreichte ich bereits Duqm, ein eher öder Ort… Ich fuhr der Küste entlang und sah schon bald ein paar Hotels. Im Crowne Plaza (https://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/duqm/dqqom/hoteldetail?) hielt ich an um mich für ein Zimmer für die Nacht zu erkundigen und der nette Justin bot mir seinen besten Preis an mit upgrade zu einem Meersichtzimmer – was mehr kann man sich wünschen!? Glücklich bezog ich mein Zimmer und machte mich gleich auf einen langen erholsamen Spaziergang am wunderschönen Strand, leider mit viel Müll und toten Tieren…

By 2 pm I reached Duqm, a rather
dull place... I drove along the coast and soon saw a few hotels. I stopped at
the Crowne Plaza (https://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/duqm/dqqom/hoteldetail?) to
enquire about a room for the night and nice Justin offered me his best price
with an upgrade to a sea view room - what more could I ask for! I happily checked
into my room and immediately set off on a long relaxing walk along the
beautiful beach, unfortunately with lots of rubbish and dead animals...
