Meine Zeit
in Sohar galt vor allem richtig auszuruhen, der Planung meines Aufenthalts hier
in Oman und dem Lösen meines Visum-Problemes. Da es im Marina Hotel (https://marinasoharhotel.business.site) weder ein Frühstück noch eine
Küche gab, war ich gezwungen es auf meinem Morgenspaziergang zu finden: einen
feinen Cappuccino bei Ibrahim aus Nigeria im Wow Café (https://www.facebook.com/pages/WOW-Cafe/318849632071397) und mein Zmorge bei der marokkanischen
Selwa im Mahafa.
My time in Sohar was mainly spent resting properly, planning my stay here in Oman and solving my visa problem. As there was neither breakfast nor a kitchen at the Marina Hotel (https://marinasoharhotel.business.site), I was forced to find one on my morning walk: a nice cappuccino by Ibrahim from Nigeria at Wow Café (https://www.facebook.com/pages/WOW-Cafe/318849632071397) and my breakfast from the Moroccan Selwa at Mahafa.

Der Strand
war vor der Tür, so genoss ich es ihm barfuss im Bikini entlang zu joggen und im warmen
Golf von Oman zu schwimmen... Das erste Mal brav im Jogginganzug, dafür getraute ich mich zum Fort
von Sohar, das leider während meines ganzen Aufenthaltes
geschlossen war: Donnerstag war ein Feiertag und Freitag & Samstag
Wochenende...
The beach was on my doorstep, so I enjoyed a run along it barefoot in my bikini and swimming in the warm Gulf of Oman... The first time decently in my jogging outfit so I dared to inspect the Fort of Sohar, which was unfortunately closed during my entire stay: Thursday was a public holiday and Friday & Saturday weekend...

Ein
Höhepunkt hier war die Sultan Qaboos Grand Moschee: ruhig und
friedlich in der Dämmerung - der besten Zeit für Fotos! Und
endlich konnte ich meinen grossen Mazda6 von Orbit Car
Rental (https://orbit-oman.com) ausfahren!

A highlight here was the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque: quiet and peaceful at dusk - the best time for photos! And finally I could drive out my big Mazda6 from Orbit Car Rental (https://orbit-oman.com)! : )

Die Lage
des Marina Hotels war für mich perfekt: Nicht nur der lange Sandstrand zum
Joggen, auch der Fischmarkt, die Corniche Flaniermeile
und das Corniche Restaurant (https://www.facebook.com/CornishRestaurant) ist in wenigen Minuten zu
Fuss zu erreichen.

The location of the Marina Hotel was perfect for me: Not only the long
sandy beach for jogging, but also the fish market, the Corniche promenade and
the Corniche Restaurant (https://www.facebook.com/CornishRestaurant)
are just a few minutes' walk away.
